It’s the perfect foil to a ghost town that’s riddled with mysteries. Once the clouds of the initial day pass on and the sun hits the fjord, you encounter a harmonious medley of vibrant, spellbinding colours. The first thing that really hits you about Draugen is that the village of Graavik might be one of the most picturesque environments painted in a video game. Imagine that, two mysteries for the price of one! And as you investigate the town, peering into the fossils of local life, you’ll find even more mysteries to chip away at. The locals are missing and their houses are abandoned. Upon arriving in the village of Graavik, Edward and Lissie find another mystery afoot. Thankfully, he’s accompanied by his much more bubbly and vivacious ward, Lissie. ![]() In Draugen, you play as Edward Charles Harden-an American bookworm who finds himself travelling to a Norwegian village in search of his missing sister Betty. You’re never really sure of what it’s going to be about, and that uncertainty is an ever-present factor through much of the walking and talking that this game involves. What mysteries await? And instead of coaxing the spirit into bragging, Hilda tells him some jokes about Wood Man which cause the spirit to laugh so hard he creates a strong wind that allows Hilda and Wood Man to win the race.06 Sep, 2019 In Draugen, the search for your missing sister has led you and your ward to quaint, rural Norway. The Weather Spirit instead shows up for the first time during the race. In this book however, Hilda and Wood Man find the Draugen without any help. The plot of " Chapter 2: The Draugen" is adapted into the book " Hilda and the Ghost Ship". The Spirit thus calms down, ending the storm, and the hot air generated by the Spirit's bragging gives Wood Man's boat the momentum it needs to beat the Draugen. Hilda apologizes to the weather spirit for her earlier remarks, and even invites him to tell her all about his opinions about the true nature of weather spirits. The Draugen have the advantage since it's still storming. ![]() The weather spirit appears again later in the episode when Hilda and Wood Man are trying to beat the Draugen and their ship in a race to win their freedom. Just as Hilda was hoping, this statement angers the Weather Spirit, and he grows into a huge thunder cloud, thus creating the storm she and Wood Man wanted. Hilda, knowing how Weather Spirits are prone to heated arguments, quickly states that it is now considered indecent to precipitate in front of others. The spirit objects however, stating how in his youth he probably would have honored Hilda's request but as an adult he now considers himself above such banal requests. Since it's a nice, sunny day, and Draugen prefer storms, Hilda asks the weather spirit if he can make it rain for them. The weather spirit is first seen when Hilda and Wood Man are sailing in the Björgfjord to try and find the Draugen. When people show him respect however, he can be quite nice, though in this state he tends to brag about himself and weather spirits in general. He is also easy to anger if he feels he's being disrespected. The weather spirit is quite full of himself he gets anoyed if people try to talk to him, and even more so if they request him for a change in weather.
